Frank Dowe is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He uses an integrative and functional medicine approach to offer the best care to his patients.
Prior to joining the Absolute Health team in 2012, Frank attended the University of Florida and as a registered nurse his experiences included providing care in Physical Health and Rehabilitation, Urgent Care, Pain Management, Internal Medicine (at the Mayo Clinic), and Gastrointestinal Medicine. He also spent time working in rural health clinics.
Frank is originally from Bavaria, Germany. It was there that he lived with his parents and his grandfather and where he developed a strong commitment to family and a love for the outdoors. Growing up, he enjoyed hiking and skiing in the Alps, was an active member of the U.S. Boy Scouts, traveled through Europe with his parents, and was very fond of spending time with his grandfather. When Frank was 14, his family moved to Labelle, Florida where he remained an active member of the Boy Scouts until graduating from Labelle High School and joining the U.S. Air Force.
Frank believes that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is key to a long and happy life, and he leads by example. Frank enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and his hobbies include hiking, cycling, fishing kayaking, hunting, gardening, woodwork, and working out. Frank is an avid outdoorsman and has hiked the Alps, the Appalachian Trail, and the Great Smokey Mountains. Frank’s healthy lifestyle and dedication to teaching are inspirational to all and we are privileged to have such an enlightening and educative practitioner on the Absolute Health team.
